Job summary

Marist College is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst within the Cybersecurity Team of IT. The role focuses on detecting and mitigating threats across Marist networks and systems, coordinating with IT operations to bolster security posture.

Responsibilities include administering SIEM, advancing governance and risk/compliance, and contributing to vulnerability management and incident response with forensics and analysis. A bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• 1–3 years of cybersecurity experience or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Administer SIEM platform and review logs for security issues.
• Assist in expanding Governance, Risk and Compliance program to improve maturity.
• Assist enhancing the vulnerability management program to improve security posture.
• Improve internal auditing program; vulnerability management and system hardening baselines.
• Participate in Incident Response by investigating cybersecurity incidents and providing forensics/analysis.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity or a related field
