Marist College is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst within the Cybersecurity Team of IT. The role focuses on detecting and mitigating threats across Marist networks and systems, coordinating with IT operations to bolster security posture.

Responsibilities include administering SIEM, advancing governance and risk/compliance, and contributing to vulnerability management and incident response with forensics and analysis. A bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of experience are required.

Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Analyst is a member of the Cybersecurity Team as part of Marist Information Technology. The Analyst is responsible for detecting and mitigating cybersecurity threats across the Marist network and systems from internal and external
sources. This position will work closely with IT Operational staff in other IT areas to continually improve the security posture of the Marist network and systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity or a related field
• One to three years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field

Essential Functions

• Administer SIEM platform and review systems logs for security issues and patterns
• Assist in expanding the existing Governance, Risk and Compliance program to improve the maturity of the cyber program
• Assist enhancing the vulnerability management program to improve the security posture of Marist systems
• Improve internal auditing program; vulnerability management, system hardening baselines, penetration test, phishing & social engineering tests and attacks
• Participate in the Incident Response program by investigating cybersecurity incidents, provide digital forensics and system analysis during a cyber incident.
• Other duties as assigned

• Three to five years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field
