Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems in Virginia is seeking an IT professional to provide Tier I/II support for the integrated watchfloor within a 24/7 environment. You will act as the single point of contact between the service provider and operational users, logging, diagnosing, and resolving incidents using knowledge bases while escalating when needed.

The role requires rotating 12-hour shifts and a proactive approach to incident management, with emphasis on documentation and knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2 years of experience with deployments, Linux admin, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps.
• 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• 2 years can be substituted with an MS in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Current US Security Clearance with Polygraph within the last 7 years.
• Able and willing to work rotating shift schedule (nights and days).
• Security & Certifications: IAT II CWIP / DoD8570 (Security+).

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/II support for the integrated watchfloor in a 24×7×365 environment.
• Act as SPOC between the service provider and operational users.
• Capture, log, categorize, and prioritize incidents via a ticketing system.
• Perform initial diagnosis using knowledge bases and incident models.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to Tier II with procedures.
• Maintain incident status communication during resolution.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for knowledge base.
• Provide 24/7/365 coverage via rotating 12‑hour shifts (0500 and 1700).
