Job summary

URM Stores, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Security Manager to lead the Security Engineering team at our Spokane, WA corporate office.

This role combines hands-on security work with leadership to mature URM’s cybersecurity program, including incident response, vulnerability management, and governance activities aligned to NIST CSF and PCI DSS. The ideal candidate will partner with Infrastructure, Applications, and business stakeholders to ensure practical, effective security controls, while balancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, IS, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of cybersecurity/engineering experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership or people-management experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise cybersecurity technologies and controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cybersecurity operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of URM’s technologies and controls.
• Lead and develop the Security Engineering team with clear ownership and standards.
• Provide technical leadership across endpoint, network, identity, and cloud security.
• Integrate cybersecurity with enterprise architecture and evaluate new technologies based on risk reduction and long-term support.
• Establish and maintain operational standards, runbooks, and documentation for secure operations.
• Lead security operations and incident response, including escalations and recovery.
• Drive threat detection, telemetry, and coordinated response across IT and external partners.
• Maintain incident response plans, playbooks, and tabletop exercises for preparedness.
• Lead vulnerability management, testing, remediation, and governance initiatives (NIST CSF, PCI DSS).
• Support audits, assessments, evidence collection, and remediation activities.
