Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Cyber Security and Compliance Intern to learn the basics of information and data risks while assisting with client projects and internal initiatives. You will work alongside experienced professionals on compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and related tasks, helping operationalize client processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, required.
• Preferred study areas include technology, CS, information assurance, business management, accounting, or finance.
• Prior internship or experience in data management, technology, compliance, or business management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with security assessments and readiness reports (PCI/NIST/CIS/HIPAA).
• Document client meetings for team sharing.
• Manage project tasks related to cyber security and compliance.
• Help develop client reports with findings and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain data flow diagrams.
• Conduct research to offer up-to-date market options.
• Budget time and track multiple project requests; monitor risks.
• Travel as required.
• Other duties as required.
