Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Cyber Security and Compliance Associate to assist with information and data risk advisory services on client projects and internal initiatives. The associate will work alongside experienced professionals to conduct compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and other cyber-related tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science, required
• Three (3) months of experience in IT compliance, security assessments, management consulting, technology advisory, or technology project management, preferred
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or GoogleSuite, required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, preferred
• Experience using AI platforms, preferred

Responsibilities

• Participates in engagement projects in consultation with other team members
• Assists with conducting assessments such as PCI, NIST, CIS, HIPAA including readiness reports and cybersecurity audits as part of the CCPA standards
• Drafts presentations of BDO work product to client
• Identifies and prioritizes initial key risks and assesses their impact and likelihood of occurrence
• Assists with preparing reports for client highlighting work performed, issues identified and BDO recommendations
• Coordinates with other BDO practices in relation to technical issues and other due diligence project components with the engagement lead
• Travel required as necessary
• Other duties as required
