Job summary

Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program in Risk & Security aims to develop future leaders by rotating across cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, risk management, and identity & access management, over two years. Expect hands-on capstones, hackathons, and cross-team collaboration to build analytical and leadership skills.

Graduates gain exposure to risk frameworks, privacy and digital ethics, with mentorship from program managers and leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• GPA 3.2 or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks across Vanguard’s systems and processes
• Analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and risk scenarios to inform risk-informed decision-making
• Contribute to reporting, dashboards, or insights that support risk-informed actions
• Collaborate with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes
• Gain hands-on experience in risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital ethics
• Apply Agile methodologies to support risk and security initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Take ownership of projects and deliver meaningful outcomes
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
