Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program in Risk & Security Analyst track offers graduates a two-year rotational experience across cybersecurity, risk management, and identity & access management. You’ll identify threats, assess controls, and contribute to risk-informed decision-making while collaborating with cyber, technology, and business partners.

As part of the Technology Leadership Program in the Risk & Security Analyst track, you’ll help identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact Vanguard’s systems, operations, and clients. Your work will contribute to safeguarding Vanguard against evolving cybersecurity threats and operational risks. Through real-world assignments and collaboration across technology and business teams, you’ll gain exposure to how risk and security practices enable Vanguard to deliver secure, reliable services to investors. You’ll work alongside cybersecurity, technology, and business partners to analyze threats, strengthen controls, and support risk-informed decision-making. Through technical capstones, hackathons, and hands-on projects, you’ll build both your analytical skillset and your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead. The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight-month rotations across Risk & Security-focused teams, gaining exposure to different areas such as cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, risk management, and identity & access management - while increasing ownership, responsibility, and leadership capability over time.

In this program, you will:

• Support efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity and operational risks
• Analyze potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risk scenarios across systems and processes
• Contribute to reporting, dashboards, or insights that support risk-informed decision-making
• Partner with security, technology, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes
• Gain hands-on experience in risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital ethics
• Apply Agile methodologies to support risk and security initiatives in a dynamic environment
• Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering meaningful outcomes
• Collaborate across teams, share insights, and drive solutions in a supportive environment
• Build a network with program managers, alumni, senior leaders, and peers
• Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

What it takes:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with a concentration in computer science, computer engineering, IST, IT, CIS, Security, Risk, Cybersecurity or related technical/engineering subject matter required
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, threat analysis, risk management, or fraud prevention
• Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and ability to take ownership of work
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher preferred
