Job summary

Leidos is seeking motivated cybersecurity students for a Summer 2027 Internship Program. As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you will join the GSM-O II contract at Scott AFB, IL, embedded with SOC analysts protecting DoD infrastructure and DISN operations.

You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise security tools, threat intelligence, and incident response, while contributing to operations and defense activities in a real-world security environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts and DoD environments.
• Willingness to work on-site at Scott AFB, IL.

Responsibilities

• Triage and analyze security alerts from SIEMs and other sources.
• Assist in network traffic analysis and correlating security events.
• Shadow incident response activities during containment and eradication.
• Review threat intelligence and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs).
• Conduct preliminary analysis of suspected incidents and document findings.
