Job summary

Leidos is seeking motivated cybersecurity students for a Summer 2027 Internship Program as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern in Whitehall, OH. You will work embedded with SOC analysts, gaining hands-on experience protecting DoD infrastructure and DISN networks.

Learn to triage alerts, analyze traffic, review threat intel, and document findings while contributing to incident response activities under experienced mentors in a real-world security environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for DoD clearance.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and defense-in-depth concepts.

Responsibilities

• Triage and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and NetFlow.
• Assist senior analysts with network traffic analysis and IOC identification.
• Shadow incident response activities and learn containment, eradication, and recovery steps.
• Review open-source threat intel feeds to improve detection capabilities.
• Document technical findings and incident reports for leadership and partners.
• Collaborate with SOC team to support mission-critical operations.
