Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on welding inspection, structural steel erection oversight, and adherence to safety and quality standards within the A/E/C sector.

The inspector will evaluate welds, record results, and communicate issues for corrective actions. The candidate should hold an AWS CWI with D1.1 experience, have at least 4 years of related work, and be proficient with blueprints and measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• AWS CWI Certification with D1.1 experience.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
• Experience with Visual Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Weld Inspection.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding and structural steel during erection on sites.
• Perform visual inspections of welds in progress and completed.
• Record test results and follow up on non-conformances until closure.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines and regulations.
• Document QA data per company procedures and report significant issues to management.
