Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for our Raleigh, NC office. The successful candidate will perform structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel) with a strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Responsibilities include inspections per code, reviewing plans, conducting field tests, and communicating results to contractors and engineers. AWS CWI is required; ICC certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI certification is required.
• ICC certifications in Structural Masonry, Structural Steel, and Reinforced Concrete are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements.
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure requirements are met.
• Conduct field testing and inspections as part of QA/QC.
• Review plans and specifications and perform inspections accordingly.
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others.
• Input results and observations into daily reports.
