Job summary

Nova Engineering and Environmental LLC seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) based from our Tallahassee, FL location. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests across masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel projects.

Responsibilities include inspecting per code and project requirements, interpreting plans, field testing, reviewing specs, and communicating findings to contractors and engineers; daily reporting of results is expected.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge Experience.
• NDT Level II Magnetic Particle MT and Level II Ultrasonic UT Shearwave a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Field testing and inspections as part of QA/QC
• Review plans and specifications and perform inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports
