Job summary
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) based from our Tallahassee, FL location. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).
Responsibilities: perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements; interpret plans and specifications; conduct field testing; review plans; communicate results with contractors, engineers and others; input results into daily reports.
Qualifications
- Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge experience.
- NDT Level II Magnetic Particle (MT) and Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections in accordance with codes and project requirements.
- Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Conduct field testing and inspections.
- Review plans and specifications and perform inspections accordingly.
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others.
- Input results and observations into daily reports.
