Job summary

HMT LLC seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure quality and safety of welded structures across industries in the United States. You will inspect welding processes, materials, and finished welds, verify compliance with codes, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.

The role requires NDT proficiency, strong drawing interpretation, and experience with AWS D1.1 and ASME IX.

Qualifications

• CWI certification from AWS is required.
• Minimum of 3 years in welding inspection or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes and applicable codes (AWS D1.1, ASME IX).
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, WPS, and inspection reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and NDT inspections on welds according to AWS, ASME, and API standards.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications for compliance.
• Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure safety and quality protocols.
