Job summary

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) based from our Tallahassee, FL location. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

Responsibilities include performing inspections in accordance with code and project requirements, interpreting plans, field testing, reviewing plans, communicating results with contractors and engineers, and documenting in daily reports.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge experience.
• NDT Level II Magnetic Particle (MT) is required.
• NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements.
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure requirements are met.
• Perform field testing and inspections.
• Review plans and specifications and perform inspections accordingly.
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others.
• Input results and observations into daily reports.
