Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental LLC in Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform structural inspections and QA/QC tests on masonry, reinforced concrete, and structural steel projects.

You will interpret drawings, conduct field testing, and document results in daily reports, coordinating with contractors and engineers. A current AWS CWI with structural or bridge experience is required; NDT Level II UT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current AWS CWI with Structural or Bridge experience.
• NDT Level II Ultrasonic (UT) Shearwave is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with code and project requirements.
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure requirements are being met.
• Perform field testing and inspections.
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly.
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others.
• Input results and observations into daily reports.
