Job summary

NOOTER is seeking a Quality Control Inspector / QAQC Technician to support industrial construction and fabrication projects. You will conduct field inspections of welding, piping, mechanical systems, and structural components to ensure they meet customer requirements, codes, and project specs.

You will review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and records, documenting nonconformances and assisting with corrective actions while ensuring material traceability and turnover documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CWI certification required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in industrial construction, fabrication, or QA/QC inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to complete inspection reports and project records accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of welding, piping, mechanical systems, and structural components to verify compliance with project specs and codes.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, and project documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming work and assist with corrective actions.
• Verify material traceability and participate in audits and testing activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and turnover documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, craft personnel, subcontractors, customers, and third‑party inspectors.
