Job summary

NOOTER is seeking a Quality Control Inspector / QAQC Technician to ensure welding, piping, mechanical systems, and fabrication work meet project specs and industry codes. You will review drawings, specifications, inspection plans, and documentation, collaborating with project teams to drive safe, compliant, and high-quality industrial construction.

This role requires 2+ years in industrial construction/QA-QC, a CWI certification, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in industrial construction, fabrication, mechanical construction, or QA/QC inspection.
• Knowledge of industrial construction practices and quality inspection methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and related project documents.
• Ability to complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and project records accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem identification capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field-based construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of welding, piping, mechanical systems, structural components, and fabrication work to verify compliance with project specifications, customer requirements, quality procedures, and industry codes.
• Review drawings, specifications, inspection test plans, and project documentation; collaborate with project managers, craft personnel, subcontractors, customers, and third-party inspectors.
• Identify and document nonconforming work; assist with corrective actions; verify material traceability.
• Participate in audits and testing activities, and maintain accurate inspection records and turnover documentation.
