Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR assignment in Virginia. The role requires ACLS, BLS, and prior CVOR experience.

You will scrub for CVOR surgeries, operate in a 2 OR unit, and work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Ideal candidates are flexible, self-motivated, and able to work closely with RNs and CSTs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• CVOR experience required.
• Scrubbing experience preferred.
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
• State licensure required if applicable.
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit with 2 OR suites and a staff of 3 RNs and 3 CSTs.
• Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required.
• May float to other OR areas as needed.
• 13-week assignment.
• Perform surgical technologist duties for CVOR procedures including CABG, thoracotomy, endo AAA, valve replacement, and pacemaker placement.
• Work alongside a collaborative team of RNs and CSTs in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Ideal candidates are flexible, knowledgeable, and self-starters.
