American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR assignment in Virginia. The role requires ACLS, BLS, and prior CVOR experience.

You will scrub for CVOR surgeries, operate in a 2 OR unit, and work 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Ideal candidates are flexible, self-motivated, and able to work closely with RNs and CSTs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
CVOR experience required.
Scrubbing experience preferred.
NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required.
State licensure required if applicable.
No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

Hospital CVOR unit with 2 OR suites and a staff of 3 RNs and 3 CSTs.
Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
1:1 patient ratio.
Uses Meditech EMR.
Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required.
May float to other OR areas as needed.
13-week assignment.
Perform surgical technologist duties for CVOR procedures including CABG, thoracotomy, endo AAA, valve replacement, and pacemaker placement.
Work alongside a collaborative team of RNs and CSTs in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Ideal candidates are flexible, knowledgeable, and self-starters.
