Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position in Florida with 5+ years CVOR experience and willingness to float to the main OR.

The role is a 13-week assignment in a Level II Trauma Center with 12 CVOR suites. Day shifts include 4 RNs and 4 CSTs; travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required.
• 5+ years of CVOR experience required.
• Main OR experience with willingness to float to main OR required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required; state license if applicable.
• BLS certification required; ensure it does not expire within first 30 days.
• No 90+ day employment gaps in the past 12 months.
• U.S. SSN and Date of Birth required for consideration.
• Two professional references are required (Florida requires two).

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center setting with 309 beds and a CVOR unit with 12 OR suites.
• Shift coverage includes day shift with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs; night shift is on-call.
• 1:1 patient ratios and scrub duties for CVOR cases such as CABG and valve procedures.
• Operate within Meditech EMR and support scrub responsibilities.
• Thirteen-week assignment with daytime hours 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Travelers may be considered; local candidates are not prioritized.
• Occasional weekend and holiday rotation with hospital staff.

Responsibilities

• Level II Trauma Center hospital setting with 309 total beds
• CVOR unit with 12 suite ORs, staffing 2 CVORs
• Day shift staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs, night shift is on-call only
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Common procedures include CABG, valve replacement, and thoracic/vascular surgeries
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment, day shift 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff
• Scrub color for surgical staff is ciel blue
• Ideal candidates are flexible team players
• Nurses who also scrub and candidates with Meditech experience are preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
