Banner Health in Phoenix invites an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our PRN registry. You will scrub on cardiovascular cases, assist surgeons, and manage instruments and supplies in a fast-paced operating room, ensuring sterility and efficiency.

This role offers flexible, per-diem shifts across Banner Thunderbird, Estrella, University Medical Center Phoenix and other facilities. Ongoing training, career growth, and access to employee wellness programs are provided to support you.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current BLS.
• Surgical technologist certification with state registration where required.
• 1–2 years of surgical tech experience, or 3–4 years in role.
• Scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for procedures, ensures instruments are in good working order.
• Anticipates surgeon needs, passes instruments, scrubs on two specialties.
• Maintains aseptic technique and performs instrument counts.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking and cleaning operating rooms.
• Participates in training of staff and students.
