Banner Health seeks an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for PRN/registry opportunities in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires scrubbing in at least two surgical specialties, assisting cardiothoracic and vascular procedures, and supporting the surgeon with instruments and sterile supplies.

The position involves variable shifts, no guaranteed hours, and no medical benefits for per diem staff. Prior certification and BLS are required, with orientation provided as part of the role.

Qualificações

• High school diploma/GED and current basic life support certification.
• Surgical technologist certification with 1–2 years experience, or 3–4 years in the role.
• Must be registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.
• Must scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to the surgeon and patient.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares for surgical procedures by pulling instruments and ensuring good working order.
• Anticipates the surgeon's needs and passes instruments during procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and assists with counting sharps, instruments and sponges.
• Assists with OR turnover and stocking supplies.
• Participates in training and orientation of surgical technology staff and students.
• May provide business support to the department including administrative tasks.
• Follows safety procedures and participates in emergency call rotation.

Conhecimentos

BLS Certification
