Job summary

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist to assist in cardiovascular surgeries under RN supervision. You will scrub, pass instruments, and support a fast-paced operating room environment.

The role requires certification as a surgical technologist and the ability to scrub on two specialties; strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for patient care and teamwork within a high-volume trauma center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a surgical technologist is required; 1–2 years in surgical tech or 3–4 years in role eligible.
• Proficiency to scrub on at least two surgical specialties; strong aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures; retrieves instruments and supplies; checks case carts.
• Anticipates surgeon needs; passes instruments; maintains competency in two specialties.
• Maintains aseptic technique; disposes sharps; counts instruments and sponges; prepares instruments for cleaning.
