Job summary

Banner Health's Banner Boswell Medical Center seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular procedures in a busy OR. You will scrub, pass instruments, and handle supplies under supervision, working with surgeons and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Certification as a surgical technologist required.
• Ability to scrub on two surgical specialties at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures with correct instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments during operations.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures and manage sharps/disposables.
• Ensure accuracy of surgeon preference cards and case carts.
• Assist with OR turnover and stocking of supplies.
• Lead training/orientation of surgical tech staff and students.
• Provide administrative support as needed by the department.
• Follow safety procedures for labeling, specimens, sharps, and imaging.
