Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This full-time position requires weekday shifts with on-call duties.

The RN will circulate in the OR, prepare the room, monitor patient status, and support the surgical team throughout perioperative care. Qualified candidates will have an Alabama RN license, BLS, and CVOR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid multi-state RN license.
• Maintains current BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS required for certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care plans for pre-, intra-, and post-operative periods.
• Monitor vitals and advocate for patient safety in the OR.
• Prepare operating room and sterile instruments; support surgical team.
• Document care and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
