Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL, is hiring a Registered Nurse to join the Surgery team in the Main Operating Room. This is a full-time position with multiple schedules available (3, 4, or 5 days per week). Call is required for this role.

The RN will circulate in the OR, provide patient care before, during, and after surgery, prepare the OR and sterile instruments, monitor vital signs, advocate for patients, and coordinate with the surgical team to ensure safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the main operating room and provide care before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile instruments; ensure patient safety and proper positioning.
• Maintain a sterile environment and assist the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and advocate for patient needs; coordinate communication among staff.
• Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, and/or nurse clinician as needed.
• Document patient care accurately meeting regulatory standards.
