UAB Medicine is seeking a professional Registered Nurse to deliver operative care in the CVOR setting. You will perform scrub and circulating duties, assist the surgeon with hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure, and prepare rooms and instruments for procedures. Schedule is 6am-3pm, Monday to Friday, with rotating call; work location is UAB St.

Vincent's East in Alabama. Licensure requires BLS and ACLS within specified times, a Alabama RN license, and a nursing diploma.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed with the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsabilités

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including instrument selection and handling.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care before, during and after procedures.
• Directly assist operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
