Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an experienced OR nurse to join the CVOR team at UAB St. Vincent's East. Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, patient positioning, and direct assistance to the operating physician during procedures.

Eligibility requires a nursing diploma, Alabama licensure, BLS within 30 days, and ALS within 180 days. This on-site role offers growth within a major health system and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date.
• Advanced Life Support within 180 days of hire date.
• AL licensed RN in good standing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in operative setting for surgical procedures.
• Perform scrub functions: instrument and supply handling.
• Assist circulating duties: monitor patient and communicate condition.
• Directly assist surgeon with hemostasis, suturing and positioning.
