Job summary

Mercy is hiring registered nurses to provide patient care guided by the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process. You will coordinate with the surgical team and other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality across shifts.

The role requires an RN license in the hiring state or a compact license, minimum six months OR experience, and BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire. Various unit-specific certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintains current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed and must meet state board requirements.
• Six months OR experience; proficient in Level I requirements per Mercy policy.
• Basic Life Support certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• One or more unit-specific certifications may be required (ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with the surgical team in collaboration with other departments.
• Uphold patient rights and confidentiality; align duties with Mercy mission and standards.
