Zusammenfassung

UAB Medicine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the CVOR to deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting. You will scrub, circulate, and assist the surgeon, ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Qualifikationen

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire or transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support required within 6 months of hire date or transfer date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire.

Aufgaben

• Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing procedures.
• Perform scrub functions: select and handle instruments and supplies used during procedures.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and manage nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
• Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure and patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Ausbildung

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire
