Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA is seeking a Student Nurse Intern (SNI) to support the cardiovascular ICU team under RN supervision. You will perform basic bedside care, assist with care planning, and learn through hands-on practice.

This role requires enrollment in an RN program (ASN/BSN) with required semesters, BLS certification, and potential CNA credential; transcript submission and adherence to safety, ethics, and Kaweah Health policies are essential.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: Required: BLS
• Preferred: Current CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• Education: ASN enrollment and completion of 3rd semester in an accredited RN program; BSN enrollment and completion of 4th semester in an accredited RN program
• Employee must submit updated transcript to HR each term and notify Manager and HR of changes in nursing program enrollment.
• Participation in an approved Work Study Program affiliated with the school of nursing or Kaweah Health employment while enrolled in a Kaweah Health/Unitek nursing program eligible for the practice and academic partnership

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the RN and healthcare team to provide basic bedside care.
• Formulates the plan of care with the RN and involves patients in decisions related to care.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Performs duties after skills are validated and under RN supervision.
