Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct patient care in high-acuity cardiac, electrophysiology, and surgical settings. You will support the EP and Cath Lab teams, manage equipment, and ensure room readiness for complex procedures.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fast-paced cardiac environments, Arkansas RN licensure, and ACLS/CPR certifications. Mercy emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and compassionate care across shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license in Arkansas; BSN preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3 years fast-paced cardiac, specials, and electrophysiology experience.
• ACLS and CPR certifications present.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the surgical environment, communicating with physicians continuously.
• Assist with equipment, instrument setup, and room readiness for procedures.
• Participate in CQI and performance improvement activities.

Job description

Provides direct patient care to all patient populations; excluding pediatrics. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Registered Nurse, BSN preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Arkansas Registered Nurse
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years fast paced cardiac, specials, and electrophysiology experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, CPR
