Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Arkansas to provide direct patient care in the surgical environment, focusing on cardiac, electrophysiology, and related procedures. The role involves continuous communication with physicians, equipment readiness, and collaboration with EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab teams.
The ideal candidate holds AR RN licensure, preferably a BSN, and has at least 3 years of fast-paced cardiac/EP experience with ACLS and CPR certifications.
Provides direct patient care to all patient populations; excluding pediatrics. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
