Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. seeks a Customs Entry Writer II to manage accurate and timely submission of customs entries for inbound cargo clearance. You will advocate for customers, handle escalations, and ensure delivery with strong data accuracy and compliance across CBP processes.

Ideal candidates have 2-4 years in entry writing or customs brokerage, HTSUSA knowledge, and a background with CHB procedures. Office-based role with potential bonuses and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as an entry writer or in customs brokerage operation.
• Knowledge of US Customs and Harmonized Tariff Codes and Free Trade Agreements.
• IATA Dangerous Goods certification is a plus; Cargowise experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Input and transmit data for CBP release of shipments.
• Classify products according to the HTSUSA.
• Identify products subject to PGAs.
• Maintain task lists and track status through the CBP process.
• Meet KPI for Import operations.
• Handle customs issues, holds and exams.
• Process entry cancellations and moves.
• Handle carnets and TIB entries.
• Communicate with customers and management on issues.
• Coordinate with airlines, steamship lines, freight forwarders and CFS.
• Arrange pickup and delivery with trucking companies.
• Process invoicing and payment requisitions.
