Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. is seeking a Senior Entry Writer in Torrance, CA to manage CBP entries for key accounts. You will apply in-depth customs knowledge, classify products per HTSUSA, and ensure timely transmission of entries while guiding junior staff.

Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, handling complex CHB/CBP transactions, interfacing with customers, and supporting import audit functions. Strong data handling and coordination with partners are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an entry writer or in customs brokerage operation.
• Sound knowledge of US Customs and Harmonized Tariff Codes; familiarity with Free Trade Agreements (CHB processes).
• IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate and experience with Cargowise are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for each customer on the correct method and data required for preparing an entry.
• Receive and review documentation, input and transmit data for CBP release of shipments.
• Organize work to identify the status of every file through each phase of the CBP entry process.
• Provide guidance to Entry Writers in routine and non-routine CHB/CBP transactions; coordinate with other offices.
