Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking an Entry Writer II to manage customs entries for inbound cargo and coordinate with customers for timely clearance and delivery. You will review documentation, follow customer SOPs, and classify products under guidance to ensure accurate HTSUSA coding.

Strong data handling, problem solving and communication are essential. The role focuses on meeting KPIs for import operations, resolving issues affecting cargo release, and collaborating with brokers, airlines and freight

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
2–4 years of experience as an entry writer or in customs brokerage operations.
Sound knowledge of US Customs and Harmonized Tariff Codes; familiarity with Free Trade Agreements.
IATA Dangerous Goods Certificate and experience with Cargowise is a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive and review documentation and input data for CBP release.
Follow SOPs for each customer for entry preparation.
Classify products according to the HTSUSA under broker guidance.
Identify products subject to PGAs; manage statuses through CBP process.
Meet KPIs for Import operations; handle holds and exams.
Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders for timely release and delivery.
