Job summary

LOGISTEED America in Mineola, NY is hiring a Customs Entry Writer to join our team. You will prepare and process customs entries, classify commodities under HTS, and transmit ISF filings while coordinating with customers, carriers, and government agencies.

The right candidate has at least two years in Customs Brokerage or Import Operations, strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and experience with CargoWise One and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of experience in Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Import Operations, or Customs Entry Writing.
• Knowledge of HTS classifications and tariff application.
• Knowledge of ISF requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process Customs entries for imported shipments.
• Classify commodities using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Prepare, transmit, and monitor Importer Security Filings (ISF).
• Review shipping documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, Customs officials, and government agencies.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in CargoWise and related systems.
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, clearance delays, and documentation issues.
• Support brokerage invoicing and related administrative activities.
