Job summary

Open Systems Inc. seeks a Customs Compliance Specialist to support US and Canadian import/export compliance. You will ensure accurate data entry across brokerage, carrier, and government portals, and maintain classification records while flagging exceptions for review.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume data entry.
• Strong reading comprehension; extract data from emails, portals, and reports.
• Strong organizational skills; manage multiple deadline-driven workstreams.
• Solid analytical skills; identify exceptions, discrepancies, reconciliation issues.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard office software; SAP experience is a plus.
• Clear, professional written communication for cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Record daily shipment information from pre-alerts and inbound reports.
• Monitor exceptions and daily holds; maintain ISF filing information for ocean shipments.
• Record entry information from brokers’ portals and validate against ACE data.
• Reconcile information twice a month.
• Record export information from coordination between order team, warehouse, and brokers.
• Record release information from broker reporting and validate against CARM.
• Support determination of correct classification and maintain tariff information.
