Job summary

SEKO Logistics is seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Agent to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on hands-on U.S. customs brokerage operations, entry preparation, and accurate documentation to ensure timely clearance.

The ideal candidate will have prior customs brokerage experience; a U.S. Customs Broker License is preferred but not required. This position is primarily in-office with potential hybrid flexibility based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have prior Customs brokerage experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and transmit U.S. Customs entries accurately and timely in accordance with CBP requirements and client instructions.
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/air waybills, certificates of origin, arrival notices, and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Determine HTS classifications, duty rates, country of origin, trade program eligibility, and applicable Chapter 99 tariff requirements.
• Calculate duties, taxes, and fees associated with imported merchandise.
• Monitor entries and shipments through release and resolve holds, rejects, and documentation issues.
• Communicate with CBP, PGAs, carriers, customers, and internal teams to facilitate clearance.
• Research and respond to CBP inquiries and notices.
