Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Customer Support Engineer to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex capital equipment at customer sites. The role requires coordinating with installation teams and maintaining equipment performance to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have an associates or bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and be able to work up to 50% of time at customer locations in Utica, NY.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree or 3 years relevant work experience.
• Willingness to spend at least 50% of time at customer sites and/or cleanroom environments.
• Ability to use DVMs, oscilloscopes, flow meters and other testing equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and solve technical equipment problems via telephone, remote access or in person at a customer location.
• Repair of system level issues using standard procedures and factory-based engineering support.
• Ensure equipment enhances customer production and coordinate potential shutdowns to prevent production loss.
• Prepare field service reports and assist in quotes for equipment repairs.
• Cross-train and mentor other field service engineers; aid installation teams.
• Work independently; spend at least 50% of time at customer sites and/or cleanroom environments.
• Operate DVMs, oscilloscopes, flow meters, and various test equipment.
• Complete ongoing technical training and attain Certification Level 3 within the defined time period.
