Job summary

IP Corporation, a Minnesota-based chemical manufacturer, is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to manage customer interactions, process orders, and resolve issues with independence and cross-functional collaboration. This role supports Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure timely deliveries and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of customer service and/or account management experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial distribution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; extensive experience with ERP and CRM systems.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Maintain accurate customer data and account details in CRM systems.
• Enter and manage customer orders in the ERP system with high accuracy.
• Monitor order status and proactively communicate any changes, delays, or concerns.
• Coordinate with logistics, production, and sales teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide customers with product information, pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Investigate and resolve customer concerns independently when possible and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Ensure customer expectations are met while reflecting IP Corporation’s values and service standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
• Understand customer needs and work internally to ensure those needs are met.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to improve service delivery and process efficiency
