SmartFinancial is hiring a Customer Success Manager 1 in an entry-level, in-office role in Newport Beach, CA. You will manage a growing book of business, build strong client relationships, and help customers maximize value and performance of their accounts.

This role is designed for growth into CSM2 or SCSM with clear performance paths and a supportive training environment. The position requires 1–2+ years in customer-facing roles, high-volume calling, and a results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in customer service or a related client-facing role.
• Proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs and activity or sales targets.
• Experience with insurance agencies, insure tech, lead generation, or marketplace businesses is valued.
• Experience with high-volume calling and regular customer communication.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to understand customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve customer performance.
• Highly motivated, coachable and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a large book of accounts.
• Must be available for full-time, in-office work (6am–3pm PST).

Responsibilities

• Grow: manage 100+ active accounts and build relationships while identifying growth opportunities.
• Win Back: re-engage inactive customers and create new growth opportunities.
• Optimize: review lead performance, pricing, targeting, emails, calls, to maximize platform value.
• Drive Results: help customers improve KPIs like CPA, close rate, lead quality, ROI.
• Retain: build trusted relationships and proactively identify satisfaction or retention risks.
• Own It: be main contact for assigned customers with consistent communication.
• Solve: address questions and concerns using established CS processes.
• Excel: deliver best-in-class experience while hitting activity, retention, talk-time, and growth goals
