Job summary

Hallmark's Crown Center in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a seasonal on-call Customer Services Representative to greet guests and handle inquiries, purchases, and shipments.

You will answer questions in person and by phone, prepare shipments via FedEx, wrap gifts, and process payments. You may cross-train to support exhibits and other Crown Center operations during hours spanning Thu-Sun and the center's seasonal schedule.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

Crown Center is a vibrant multi-use complex, which includes retail shops, two hotels, offices and special attractions - an exciting place where people live, work and play. It is located near the corporate headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Inc. and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Crown Center Customer Services is located in the retail shopping center and is comprised of an effective team of experienced Customer Services Representatives. The team delivers a wide variety of services to Crown Center guests.

The Showplace children's exhibit is offered by Crown Center Marketing and is located within the Crown Center retail shopping center. The exhibit is hosted by Customer Services Representatives (CSRs). The CSRs provide excellent service and assistance for guests who visit the exhibit and are an integral part of the overall success of the Crown Center retail operations.

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL:

The Customer Services Representative (on-call) is responsible for providing excellent customer service to help ensure that each guest has a positive experience at Crown Center. Customer Service duties include but are not limited to: answering customer questions in person and over the phone; preparing shipments for customers and processing through FedEx terminal; custom gift wrapping; and processing customer payment transactions.

The Customer Service Representative (on-call) will also cross-train to serve as needed to perform various duties in relation to providing back up support to special exhibits located at the Crown Center retail shopping center.

This position is classified as an "on-call" opportunity.

The work schedule will cover Thursday - Sunday and the hours may vary to ensure coverage during Crown Center's operating hours which are:

Monday - Saturday, 10:00am to 6:00pm

Sunday 11:00 - 5:00pm.

Holiday Hours: Monday - Thursday, 10:00 - 7:00, Friday - Saturday, 10:00 - 8:00, and Sunday 11:00 - 5:00. Hours are subject to change.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of Customer Service experience, or working with the public, or working with children in a classroom or service capacity.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of basic smartphone technology, computer usage, and Microsoft suite.
• Must display a high level of professional maturity and the ability to handle a variety of situations when working with the public.
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
• Experience in a classroom and/or other child care.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Relocation will not be provided.
