Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Courtesy Clerk in Springfield, MO to support customers from the register to their car and keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming. You will package purchases, assist customers, and help maintain a positive shopping environment.

The role emphasizes active, physical work, teamwork, and delivering friendly service. Training is provided, with a flexible, part-time or hourly schedule typical for courtesy clerks.

Qualifications

• No education or experience requirements; we will provide all the training you need to succeed.
• Stand or walk frequently during shifts.
• Basic math and ability to count and make change.
• Willingness to assist in all areas of the store as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping make every visit great.
• Package customer purchases and assist in transporting them to their vehicle.
• Bring carts in from the parking lot and manage cart corrals.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and backroom; sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Stock, face, and rotate merchandise; check shelf tags and locate items in store/backroom.
• Maintain front end supplies such as bags and receipt paper.
• Help train new courtesy clerks.
• Deliver product to customers and assist in other departments as requested.
