Cornerstone Bank in Fargo, ND is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to handle new account transactions and assist customers with selecting banking products and services. You will provide friendly, accurate service in person and over the phone, promote bank offerings, and perform location clerical duties while referring customers to the appropriate staff for additional services.

A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of bank or related experience are required, with opportunities for growth

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for processing new account transactions, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, cross‑selling the Bank's products and services, maintaining and closing of all account types, providing customers in reception area and over the phone with a variety of account‑related service assistance, performing location clerical duties, and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of bank or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
