Job summary

Cornerstone Bank in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to process new accounts, assist customers with account types and services, and support daily branch operations.

In this role you will cross-sell bank products, maintain and close accounts, and help customers over the phone and at reception while upholding accuracy and strong customer service standards. A high school diploma and banking experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of bank or related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform duties.
• Pre-employment background and credit screening are required.

Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Location: Bismarck, ND

Employment Type: Full-Time

What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for processing new account transactions, assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, cross-selling the Bank's products and services, maintaining and closing all account types, providing customers in reception area and over the phone with a variety of account-related service assistance, performing location clerical duties, and promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

• Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud
• Knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Background & Experience

High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of bank or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
