Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator for the Santa Clara branch.

The role focuses on coordinating preventative maintenance, handling outside repairs, and planning the shop work plan to maximize customer satisfaction and productivity. The candidate will develop daily/weekly workforce plans, communicate with customers about updates, and ensure parts and external vendors meet quality and timing expectations.

Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience
• At least 1 year of hands on mechanical experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
• 2 years of service department administration preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree, Technical School Degree, or Bachelors Degree preferred
• ASE certification preferred
• Experience with service scheduling programs and diagnostic programs preferred
• Understand and comply with Penske policies and safety standards
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential
• Willingness to travel and pass background checks and drug screening are required

Responsibilities

• Develop daily and weekly workforce plans by considering customer needs, repairs, parts, and technician skills
• Communicate maintenance updates to customers and address billing or service issues
• Ensure Penske rental units are maintained and prepared for customers
• Ensure parts are available for scheduled work
• Hold outside vendors to quality and schedule standards
• Provide customer service and promote repeat business
• Maintain shop productivity by optimizing the work plan
• Coordinate with district billing clerks as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
