Job summary

Public Storage is seeking a Property Manager to work independently across multiple locations. You will assess customer storage needs, suggest packing/moving supplies, and conduct daily unit inspections to ensure spaces are ready to rent.

Responsibilities include cash handling, deposits, and assisting customers with payments, including reminders and collections when required. A valid driver’s license is required to travel between sites, with mileage reimbursement available.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with sales experience in retail, restaurant, fast food or service sectors.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel between locations.
• Able to transport items weighing up to 35 pounds and work outdoors up to 50% of the time.
• Performs cleaning and daily maintenance tasks, including sweeping and exterior grounds upkeep.

• Inspect storage units daily to ensure inventory and readiness for rent.
• Assess customer storage needs and recommend packing/moving supplies.
• Sell packing and moving supplies where appropriate.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits as part of daily duties.
• Assist customers with payments, reminders, and collections when needed.

• Daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability helps make sure spaces are ready to rent
• Auditing cash drawers and making bank deposits are part of the daily business
• We help keep our customers current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to transport lift/move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Our property managers should be able to walk in/around facilities spending up to 50% of their time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.
• Performing cleaning and daily maintenance tasks: including sweeping/mopping interior areas and maintain exterior grounds/curb appeal clean and free of debris.

Experience:

Successful candidates come from a variety of customer service centered sales environments including retail, restaurant, fast food or other service-based companies.

Transportation:

Our employees are required to have a valid driver’s license and utilize their own vehicle to travel between different work locations and/or while conducting other work-related business. (mileage reimbursement available)
