Job summary

Security First Bank in Beatrice, NE is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers with everyday banking needs, process transactions, open new accounts, and answer questions. This is a full-time daytime role with occasional Saturdays.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic accounting familiarity, strong Excel and Office skills, and excellent communication while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services experience preferred.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger, subsidiary, and correspondent bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable transactions and support related reporting activities.
• Maintain balanced financial records through account analysis, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Support cash management activities, official check settlements, and CDARS transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and provide operational support to the accounting department.

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative is an essential, customer‑facing role responsible for assisting customers and potential customers with their everyday banking needs. This includes processing financial transactions, opening new accounts, answering questions, and providing guidance on bank products and services. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner. Ability to work on occasion at proximity branch location(s). Hours can vary from 7:15a to 5:30p Monday - Friday and will work most Saturdays from 8:00a to 12:00p.
